New Orleans Parades

Easter in New Orleans

I just arrived home from spending a few days in New Orleans. What a great city to be able to visit. This was not my first visit and i'm sure it won't be my last. As a photographer this place is almost heaven. The people and their culture are so different to most places in the United States. Easter is a great time to visit. The second day we were in the Crest City we attended a day full of parades. This city celebrates everything, Easter was this trips theme with 3 parades through the French Quarter. They call this city "The Big Easy" and being here you will see why. The French Quarter is a very old area and designed with the mode of transportation being horse and buggies. The narrow streets, great little shops and people performing along the way. The mighty Mississippi River meander's through the city creates a place for people to enjoy watching the barges and ships from around the world pass on by. The city is know for its Jazz music history and no better place than Frenchmans Street to see that this is still alive and very popular. Going to New Orleans and not going on a swamp tour is not an option, seeing Alligators and wild Boars living in the swamps.

Great trip enjoy my photos of New Orleans.
