My name is Michael. I live in a small Southwestern Ontario town where I work in a family company in the aggregate and excavating business. I’m married and have 2 daughters. I’m a firefighter, where I carry a pager and respond when the need arises. The responsibility I carry there is Captain and Trainer Officer. This has been in my life for the past 21yrs.

Since my late teens I have had a passion for photography. Over the past few years the passion has grown to a point where I feel confident in what I shoot. During this time I have felt a strong pull towards the photography of how others live.  I have started to photograph people that I have met during my journeys. Some are from close to home, and others are from different parts of the world. While doing this I have come to the realization that we are all different, we live in different ways and conditions. With these journeys I have seen in many instances that life is good and we should always appreciate what we have, as a lot of other people have a lot less. Things don’t mean happiness is guaranteed, always be proud of your accomplishments no matter how large or small they are.

My journey began with travelling around on day trips, to longer holidays looking and meeting people in their own environments. Some I have had a long conversation with, while others it’s barely a walking glance or a hand shake to thank them for their time. Along this journey you will see the people and the environments that they live in.

Thanks for stopping by,

Michael
